Fashion One Group announced that is has appointed Clinton Gonsalvez as the new Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) of its group and projects, already effective since March 1st 2014. With his new position, Gonsalvez is also taking over the strategic and operative responsibilities of the group’s flagship FMD, with the goal to develop it to a centralized fashion authority.
“I am very pleased with the appointment of Gonsalvez as Chief Strategy Officer of our group. Gonsalvez has extensive operational experience including head leading positions at Network18 and Wikimedia. He has also collaborated with us and we enjoyed hiscooperation with in.com in the past. I am confident that he will further strengthen FOGI’s position as a leading player in fashion innovation and digital brand development.” said CBDO Daryl de Jorí, who brought Gonsalvez to the group.
“I look forward to taking on this exciting challenge and working together with the great team of Fashion One Group to further propel FMD and the other properties into agile market players,” said incoming CSO Clinton Gonsalvez.
Gonsalvez, who comes from the position as Senior Manager at Network 18 and having led India’s top five portal “In.com” for almost two years, has a notable career in the international digital media scene. From 2009 to 2011, he played an active role in Wikimedia and contributed significant efforts towards the development of the Wikimedia India foundation. He was instrumental in contributing efforts towards organizing the first wiki conference India in November 2011.
Later he joined Jigsee as head of data strategy & analytics, which can be seen as a perfect match for FOGI’s development and research on that field with its partner EDAQS.
Most recently in 2012, he joined Network 18 as a senior product / project manager and played a significant role working on many properties such as MTV, Colors, Burrp, Ask Me and the mentioned In.com.
He drove the product development and product management, lead development of product vision, numerous roadmaps and re-launched some properties.
